Traditional Articulation Therapy

Implementation of Traditional Articulation Therapy :

In traditional articulation therapy, the clinician focuses on one specific speech sound at a time until mastery. Traditional articulation therapy often involves repetitive practice of the target sound in various contexts. This practice aims to strengthen the correct motor patterns for sound production. As the individual improves in producing the target sounds in isolation, therapy progresses to practicing the sound in words, phrases, and eventually sentences. The goal is to facilitate the transfer of correct sound production to natural speech.

The ideal candidate for traditional articulation therapy would be a younger child who is exhibiting just a few sound errors.
